The New York Chapter held four panel discussions at La Guardia Community College in the fall and spring of the school year, 2013-14 . The events focused on the work our members are dong in Nepal, Uganda, Afghanistan and Ghana to build leadership and empower women to overcome obstacles and the effects of trauma. All four events were enthusiastically attended with audiences up to 150, including high school students from the College Now program along with students and staff at LaGuardia College. The events were video-taped by student tech interns at the college.
